The Royalty Statements feature allows creators and community owners on Makerverse to securely view and export their royalty earnings for each month. Exporting statements is email-gated to ensure secure access to financial data.
Feature Purpose
This feature provides users with:
Transparent monthly reporting of royalty payouts
Secure export of financial statements for accounting or tax purposes
Direct access to payout source metadata (sales channel, ID, timestamp)
Exporting statements via email protects sensitive financial data while offering flexibility to access statements off-platform.
How to Find Your Statements
Navigate via: Main Navigation Widget → Wallet → Statements
How It Works
1. Viewing Royalty Statements
Upon entering the Statements tab, users will see a paginated list of all available royalty statements where earnings are present.
2. Export a Statement
To export a specific royalty statement:
Click the three-dot (⋯) action menu beside any statement
Select Export
The selected statement will be sent to the user’s email address on file
The email includes a downloadable CSV version of the selected statement, depending on platform configuration.
Why We Email Exports
To ensure privacy and security, royalty statement exports are not downloaded directly from the browser. Instead:
Export requests are logged and linked to the authenticated session
Statements are generated in the backend and emailed to the account owner
Email links expire after a set time (e.g., 24 hours)
This reduces risk of unauthorized downloads, especially on shared or public devices.
