Introduction to Official Artist Channels

If you're an artist on YouTube, your Official Artist Channel (โ€œOACโ€) brings together all your subscribers and content from your different YouTube channels into one place.

Official Artist Channel Features

All your fans come together on your Official Artist Channel

When you get an Official Artist Channel, we merge subscribers from your topic channel, Vevo channel (if available), and your existing channel into your new channel. The subscribe button and subscriber count will no longer be displayed on your existing channel or topic channel.

You may see an increase in your Official Artist Channel subscriber count as we consolidate your audience.

Your subscribers will see your new music videos regardless of whether they subscribed to your Official Artist Channel or your other channels. This merge should help you promote and distribute new music more effectively.

Requesting an Official Artist Channel (OAC)

We can assist you in transforming one of your YouTube channels to an Official Artist Channel (OAC) through the following procedure:

  1. Ensure that your channel meets the minimum requirements for an OAC:

    1. Your channel must represent only one artist or band.

    2. You must have at least 3 official music releases distributed by us.

    3. There are additional requirements indicated here.

  2. If you meet the above requirements, please fill out this form.

  3. IMPORTANT: Note that it can take from a few weeks to up to 6 months for your OAC request to be processed by YouTube. The timeframe depends on how popular the channel is (number of followers and watch hours) and how busy YouTube's approval queue is. The more popular your channel is, the faster the approval will be.

  4. YouTube will not confirm when the channel has been transformed to an OAC. You will need to keep monitoring this yourself.
