Adding Artist Profiles to Tracks & Releases
The second way you are able to create Artist Profiles is on the 'Create a Track' or 'Create a Release' user journey. There is a section where you will need to select who is the main primary artist and who are the featuring artists on the track or release.
If you have already created artist profiles in the steps explained above, you will notice these artist profiles to select from when needing too choose what roles your artist plays on the selected track or release.
The first artist we need to add to the track or release will be the 'Main Primary Artist', after we have added them we can continue to add the rest of the featuring artists. Note: There can only be 1 main primary artist on a track and/or release level.
Once you have selected the Main Primary Artist you will notice this artist now appears under the artists section and their role will now be Main Primary Artist.
You can continue to add other collaborators to your track or release by clicking 'Add other key artist'. You can select what role the next artist plays on the track or release, and then continue to either select an artist that is already in your catalog, or create a new artist following the same steps from the above section.
You can continue this process until you have included each collaborator that needs to be assigned to the track or release. There is no limit to the amount of collaborators you can have on a release, bare in mind some DSPs metadata display will be effected.
As stated above, you can always manage your artists from your catalog by navigation to Catalog > Artists from your Tallracks Dashboard.
